Awesome, great live music good food, good drinks, good dessert, good signage using the German Democratic Republic bird I highly recommend it. Great and quick service too I ordered and food got here in like 4 mins maybe less. I highly recommend Zur Kate.
The food, the ambiance and the service is amazing. I was in Germany this Summer and had the Wiener schnitzel at a local restaurant. Hands down the schnitzel is better at Zur Kate than any of the restaurants I tried in Germany. Servers in traditional garb, live music and the atmosphere made me feel like I was in Germany.
I've reviewed before. I'll keep it simple. This is my favorite restaurant in Mesa. Possible Phoenix. Food, excellent. Service, exemplar. Ambiance, well... authentic.
I found this place so charming with all the decor and outfits the servers wear! I've never been to Germany but I would expect it to feel like this. Overall the food is simple but delicious and as long as you eat pork you cannot go wrong with any of the options on the menu!
Amazing!!! The moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted in a friendly manner. There's a man playing an accordion and he's great. The food is AMAZING, all from scratch. You can't go wrong with this mom and pop restaurant. I keep coming back for more

My partner and I are 100% returning to Zur Kate. I enjoyed the traditional, or close to traditional decor and classic German folk tunes in the restaurant :) All of the service staff were so kind and welcoming, yet professional. Our server was quite attentive to our needs and definitely ensured we had enough water/refills during our meal. Speaking of which, this is my first time trying German food and I absolutely loved it! It truly is comfort food with a bit of a kick and the German culture's signature on it. Thank you so much for having us, Zur Kate! Until next time!
We have been here once before years ago and decided to try it again. The ambiance is very German. It's like you are in a restaurant in Germany. Live German music. I really like the German outfit the waitresses wear I might add. Rye bread for the table was delicious. Food was very good. You can taste the tender loving care the cook put into it in every bite. We all traded bites. I preferred the red cabbage and German potato salad as opposed to the sauerkraut and potato dumpling that I got. Next time. Service was awesome. I think her name Nikki. She created us warmly and was very accommodating. She gave the kind of service that you hope they're working the next time you go. I highly recommend ZK.
First time back in over a year, and glad to find no apparent change. Of course prices are higher, but food quality is as good, service is friendly and competent. Weinerschnitzel was hot, crisp, and tasty. Sausages perfectly cooked, and all accompanying dishes same as ever, hearty and delicious. Very comfy place for a satisfying meal on a rainy evening.
